Pretty sure that after watching that movie I didn't want to shave my legs for like a week!

In other words, the director achieved his intended impact. Sounds like high praise to me! (As for me, I didn't want to shave my legs even before seeing Cabin Fever, not even when I was on the swim team. But the movie did make me avoid rural areas for like a week. The country gives me the willies. When I fail to hear the buzz of urbanity, I swear I can hear the loonies plotting my murder.)

Exactly! People told me they didn't like Kill Bill because it was very violent and it made them squirm. Isn't that what the director WANTS? Roth wouldn't include that shaving scene if the desired effect was to make the audience thing "Gee, I think I need to shave my legs right now!"...Roth achieved his goal...a great horror film with quirky characters, homages to the great horror films of yesteryear, and lots of gore to make your stomach turn! Mission accomplished! Cabin Fever rocks.

No, mission not accomplished. (and I think that might have been a good thing that you didn't/don't shave your legs beltmann, I would be afraid, very afraid!) Cabin Fever sucks!

Shave them and wear shorts to school. I will owe you 100 dollars if you show video of their reactions. However, you might have to come here to hunt me down and I will not pay for your plane ticket.

No, I take that back. He shaved his head and what not and at first everyone was like Shocked but we got over it. So we would all just be like, wow, he shaves his legs too. A little kinky if you ask me Wink

I might shave my legs for $100, but I draw the line at wearing shorts, sick boy.

I merely buzzed it, Danny. What's more, this shocked no one, since I've been buzzing it for close to four years now. As I often explain, I try to focus my energies on matters that matter, and since I consider hair maintenance a trivial part of my existence, I simply remove it from the equation. This is why I buzzed rather than shaved--keeping my head cleanly shaved would require more commitment than just a quick buzz every 4-5 weeks. As Thoreau said, "Live simply."

Recent adds, all purchased previously-viewed:

Shattered Glass (Ray 2003) - Already had a screener, but I wanted a cleaner copy

Spellbound (Blitz 2003)

Together (Kaige 2002)

The Way We Laughed (Amelio 1998) - Haven't seen it, but looks interesting

Looney Tunes: Back In Action (Dante 2003) - Haven't seen it, but it got raves from the critics I like

Janguru taite (Takao 1997) - Haven't seen it, but looked worth a gamble

Capturing the Friedmans (Jarecki 2003)

Lost in Translation (Coppola 2003)

Friedmans, Translation, and Glass were among my very favorite pictures last year.

I currently have about 200 DVDs in my collection, including my wife's anime shtuff. Stuff I've added recently...

Master and Commander: Far Side of the World

Kill Bill, Volume 1

The Frighteners
(Everyone has their guilty pleasures)

Dracula, Frankenstein and Wolfman Legacy Collections

Full Contact (Chow Yun Fat/Ringo Lam flick)

Oh, and I'll buy almost anything from the Criterion Collection. I picked up the Kurosawa set last year, and it was amazing. I'm also a sucker for old Westerns and HKAT flicks...[/i]
