Mr. Beltmann,

You lucky dog! We just got "Thirteen" yesterday and I can't wait to see it. That sucks I missed you - I actually worked today from 6:30 to close (I just got back a couple minutes ago). I work usher and consessions so far, always after 4:00 (due to classes); I'm usually there three or four times a week (often more watching a movie). I hope to catch you sometime.

P.S. - how was "Thirteen"? I've heard lots of negative and lots of positive.

Hi all,

I saw Cabin Fever at the Melbourne Film festival a fair while ago,

I hadnt heard a damn thing about it, probably coz us Aussies are always

late on the scene.

But I thought it was amazing. I can appreciate what was said earlier in the thread, but with having no expectations whatsoever,

I was treated to a great horror movie. Yes it had laughs,

but I enjoyed them too.

The 'party man' cop and the little karate boy named denis were all little stupid things that struck a note with me.

I think hes on the right track with this movie, hopefully he will continue

to make horror movies, and keep those kooky characters.

I also loved 28 days later.

The cop was annoying, but the kid was just enough left-of-center to amuse me.

"Pancakes!" Laughing

I liked the cop, very Twin Peaks-esque IMO. The scene where the cop is introduced and there's blood everywhere, all signs pointing to the main character as the perpetrator, but all of a sudden his wishes are 'number 1 priority because he's the party man!' Love it!

Oh, and Dennis 'Pancakes' and his nice little kung-fu display were hilarious. Granted, this movie is more 'new school' horror and has it's roots more in slasher type films as opposed to traditional horror, but I thought it was a lot of fun and would definitely give it a second viewing. Not to be taken too seriously. I laughed A LOT while watching it (in a good way Wink ).
