To see the teaser for the new Godzilla movie click here:

Certainly doesn't let you in on what the story's about, but it's amusing. I only hope they don't decide revamp the history once again.

So, Night Watchman, were you and I the only people in the entire nation to actually see Godzilla 2000 in the theater?

Speaking of this kind of fare, I just bought Rodan on DVD to replace my old VHS. I don't know whether that's cool or embarrassing.

Actually, I was lucky enough to see "Godzilla 2000" in the theatre, too, and I loved it - just goofy enough to be completely fun (I would much rather pay to see that than Roland Emmerich's version).

Yeah, I saw Godzilla 2000 in a theater full of kids, around 6 - 12. They seemed to be having as much a blast as I was. Very Happy

I recently picked up Rodan on DVD, myself. What a crappy transfer. Watch it Mono; the 5.1 Surround just makes the movie sound like it's playing at the opposite end of a tunnel.

As far as the Devlin and Emmerich version goes, I actually enjoyed the scenes with Godzilla him(her?)self. All the rest of the movie in between can take a hike. I've seen it twice, once in the theater, and once on DVD, fastforwarding past the lame characters and headache-inducing dialogue. It's more times than I've watched any other Devlin/Emmerich movie.

Thanks for the tip. I actually haven't even opened it yet (along with copies of Heaven, The Tenant, Q&A, and Sweet Sixteen). I collect them faster than I can watch them--mostly because my schedule doesn't leave me nearly enough time.
