hey all,

big fan of walken i am.

brings life and comedy to every scene.

wondering what you all think is his best of many many great characters.

i would have to credit him with the greatest interrogation artist.

as shown so clearly in True Romance.

that'd be my choice.

As far as actual acting excellence goes, I'd have to choose his poignant role in "The Deer Hunter." For just plain fun, though, his fanged, snarling, vicious Horseman in "Sleepy Hollow" is awesome.

Without a doubt, the Walken performance that left the most lasting impression on me was in The Deer Hunter, but I have equal affection for his lighter work in Blast From the Past. I also think his psychic in Cronenberg's The Dead Zone is one of the cinema's great character creations--those sad eyes, that optimistic smile, that dark limp...

He had a brief and hilarious role in Annie Hall which is classic.

One might argue that it's the part that spawned the practice of casting him as a "mentally disturbed" individual, but I've never seen anything he did before that...

I know this website is designed for strictly film talk, but I would like to put in that some of my favorite Saturday Night Live skits are those with Christopher Walken in them. Of course there humor is derived from his type casting in movies of psycho's and intense characters, but they are still hillarious because he is Walken, Christopher Walken in a winter wonder land!

I hope someone picks up the reference to a skit that that line is from

I loved him as the Headless Horseman in Burton's Sleepy Hollow.
