A damn fine mix, my friend!

"Star/Pointro" is my favorite selection from the new Roots album, and "The Seed" was my favorite from Phrenology. Never heard Kweli's "Lonely People" - what album is it off of? "Get By" is one of the most life-affirming, inspiring hip-hop songs produced within the last five years, I think (that and "Joy" on Quality are the highlights; I can listen to them endlessly).

I'll admit that I don't like Frou Frou very much, and "Fit But You Know It" is, I think, one of the weaker songs from "A Grand Don't Come For Free," although still good.

Do you tend to prefer Miles' earlier jazz or his later, heavily distorted albums, especially when he started toying around with the organ more than the trumpet? I personally enjoy his latter material more, but any way you cut it he's one of the greatest musicians in history.

Lonely People is produced by Kanye West and is off "The Beautiful Mixtape" hosted by Dave Chappelle. I'll try to host the track online so you can download it. It's over The Beatles song Eleanor Rigby. Great track, if you ask me.

My favorite Miles Davis album is probably Kind of Blue. Straight, No Chaser is a great song, though. I wonder what album it originally appeared on. I've got it on "The Best of Davis/Coltraine".

There was a 1955 album simply titled "Miles & Coltrane"; I think that may have been its first appearance.

Any hip-hop track that uses "Eleanor Rigby" as a sample sounds pretty awesome.
