Mike Bracken | film critic
Mike Bracken is a 28-year-old writer/bohemian living in Oakland, California. He studied English Lit, Film Theory, and Screenwriting at the University of South Florida. His interests: Italian gore films (or horror film in general), Existential and Nihilistic philosophy, horror fiction, the life and times of the Marquis de Sade, Hong Kong action films, Samurai cinema, the NHL (Pittsburgh Penguins in particular), surfing the net, and old school hip-hop. Things that annoy him: Earthquakes, Puritans, hyper people, the self-righteous, repeatedly explaining things to the terminally stupid, the Philadelphia Flyers, the cancellation of Mystery Science Theater 3000, people who think Day of the Dead is better than Dawn of the Dead, and kids who think '90s horror films "rule." Mike is an editor and film critic at CultureDose.net, but you may know him as the Horror Geek from Comedy Central's pop-culture game show Beat the Geeks.
