I'm going to have to go ahead and argue the contrary. Not only for the fact that most fourth graders are too sophisticated for it, it's not even good at being stupid. Somethingawful's tagline is "The internet makes you stupid." Obviously Homestarrunner is a HUGE contributor to this plague of stupidity sweeping the internet. I use the terms "lol" and the such, but it's all in good fun. Most people with half a brain can understand that this is sarcasm, and sharp, biting wit. I don' think that BURNINATED or STRONG BAD OMG LOL SO FUNNAY LOOK AT UR EMALES is funny at all. That entire website is a vacuous hole from which nothing of value can escape. It's giving the internet a bad name.

Nobody ever argued that Homestarrunner was sophisticated. But just because it's simple humor doesn't mean it can't be hilarious.
