CD Player: Straylight Run, Straylight Run

Senses Fail, Let It Enfold You

Playlist: BEDlight For BlueEYES, Demo

Bedlight is a great band that is practically unknown. Thanks to my good friend Matt Muelling and the aid of purevolume.com I have found one of my new favorite bands.

CD Player: Riviera's Broken Hearted Dreams EP. Unexpectedly good. I'm a new fan.

On deck: Gram Parsons' GP and Grievous Angel.

CD Player: "MM...Food," MF Doom

There is a beacon of hope for the future of hip-hop, and its name is MF Doom.

Playlist: Wilco's A Ghost Is Born Bonus EP.

If you've already purchased AGIB, it's a free download. Just put the CD in your PC and click on Enhanced Content. Wilcoworld has been swamped for the last couple of days, but tonight my download worked lickety-split. Less than 30 seconds for all 5 tracks.

I'm underwhelmed by "Panthers" (was expecting more after hearing a Tweedy solo version from last May). The studio version of "Kicking Television" is vastly different from the live versions I've grown accustomed to, but it's growing on me--it reminds me a bit of Radiohead. The other three tracks are live versions of "At Least That's What You Said," "Late Greats," and "Handshake Drugs," all recorded October 27, 2004 at the Orpheum in Madison, WI.

CD Player: The Beatles, Abbey Road

Playlist: Jack Johnson "Good People," Reel Big Fish "One Hit Wonderful," Elliott Smith "Bled White," The Faint "Agenda Suicide," Flashboy "Choy Rocks"

I'm counting the days until April 5th so I can hear the glory of the new Reel Big Fish CD. From what I've heard of it, it will probably be one of their better albums, or at least better than Cheer Up.
