Not offended at all. S/he might not think it's funny, but the rest of the family is another story... Fourth of a July is always a hoot, what with all the "you'll blow your finger or your weiner off" jokes.
Be sure to check whether your sarcasm detector is plugged in. (I don't actually have any mutilated cousins.  )
