Actually, I rather liked Spanglish, mostly for the messiness at its center... it felt like a warm variation of life much of the time. Still, I doubt it would have cracked my Top 75.

This is what makes my life so sad.

Or maybe that's what makes my life sad.

This brings new oportunity to my life. I have just realized it is not me that is a sad pathetic young man, but the rest of society. Thankyou Beltmann...for giving me hope.

Like a 10-best list? The suspense is killing me, man!

Heh heh heh. It might be finished by the end of the month...

(I've never been this late with my 10-best piece. Even Danny beat me.)

It's March 2nd, Michael.

...Kidding, of course.

It'll be up by the end of the second week of July 2007, I promise. Geez. Mad

Michael, have you even seen ten movies from 2004?!? I secretly believe that this is what's causing the hold-up. Cool

I've seen 11, thank you very much.

Seriously, I've seen about 100 at this point -- and most of them during these last few catch-up months, as I was way, way behind. That said, unlike previous years, there's no clear front-runner for the top of my list -- no single movie I'm just unbelievably gaga about. Lots of good/great stuff, just nothing that connected with me as much as Mulholland Drive (2001), Punch-Drunk Love (2002), or All the Real Girls (2003).

My piece will be up soon, I promise. Smile

You've got one of the few lists that are hard to predict...Ebert was obvious, the second Beltmann told me about Before Sunset I knew it'd be his top movie, and then the rest had their star-ratings to predict it...

Still, Michael, I am eagerly awaiting to see what tops your list. I assume Kill Bill: Volume 2 will be on it somewhere, but I have no clue about the rest.
