The first time I respond to a thread it says I need to "pick a thread to respond to," even though all I've done is pressed the reply button on the thread's page. I wouldn't mention it if the board hadn't just changed servers (?) or whatever it was, but I thought it might be relavent.

But it's not prohibiting you from responding to threads, right?

I have not experienced this. In fact, everything seems to be working fine for me now. (Thanks for the earlier repair, Michael.)

I've clearly selected what to reply to and the notice doesn't come up the second time I try.

Okay, I just did a minor bug fix that was detailed in the phpBB Community, even though the cause of the problem wasn't exactly as you described (it still led to the dreaded "You must select a topic to reply to" screen). I hope it works. If you're still experiencing the same problem after this fix, you may need to delete your browser cache and also delete your cookies.
