Does anyone know if you can recover a document you don't save? I had a two page review typed up on Spider-Man 2 and, being the klutz that I am, dropped my mouse onto the escape key on my keyboard and pressed enter thinking I was choosing to cancel, instead of not save, and it was erased. I can't find anything in the Microsoft Word help index, but seeing that you all use computers a lot, I thought you might know if it was possible.

Damn, that sucks.

Word v.X for Mac has an AutoRecover feature. The only time I've seen it in action is when there was a power failure; I powered back up, opened Word, and it automatically recovered the document for me. I don't think it works for documents you manually choose not to save (even if by accident). I suppose you didn't have Word set to save backup copies at set intervals -- something to consider setting while you're thinking about it. I haven't used Windows in ages (you're still running Windows, eh?), so I wouldn't know how to go about it, but try searching your PC for the file name (maybe a backup copy was saved) or some bit of text from the document, if possible. Otherwise, I don't know what to tell ya.

Good luck on recovering it.

Yeah, I called into customer service and it looks like you can only do it if it was saved one shut-down ago, unfortunately. I guess I'll just have to crank it out again.
