Since Monday, Google has been inviting random visitors to sign up for Gmail accounts (go to the homepage to see if there's a sign-up link for you under the search bar). I don't need yet another e-mail account, but I signed up just to check it out; it looks like it might indeed be the best of all the free e-mail offerings on the Web (1 GB of storage, Google's search technology for finding messages, conversation-view, forwarding and POP3 access, etc.). Pretty nice. If anybody wants an invite for a Gmail account, just PM me with the e-mail address you want the invite sent to (I've got 50 invites, so there's plenty to go around).
