One of my favorite websites, allmusic.com, has undergone a drastic makeover. Now I get this priceless message at the top of the screen:

Quote:
Notice: You are accessing allmusic.com with a browser that is not currently supported. The appearance and functionality of the site could be impacted. allmusic.com is optimized for Internet Explorer 5.5 and above for Windows.

Are some web developers still "optimizing" for IE for Windows and completely ignoring web standards? Idiots! Now one of the favorite websites is a mess in all the browsers on my system: Safari, Mozilla, Firefox, Camino -- you know, the browsers that support standards -- and even Internet Explorer for Mac. What was once a simply designed, easy-to-browse site is now a cumbersome, cluttered mess. Even without the formatting errors resulting from the site's new fuck-everyone-who-isn't-using-IE-for-Windows policy, I suspect I still wouldn't be too fond of the new design. Why? Why? Why?

Any allmusic visitors here? Does anyone think this is an improvement?

I love allmusic.com, and I must agree, Michael, that this is a change for the worse. The organization is quite cluttered, isn't it? I was looking for a review of Coheed and Cambria and it took me about six minutes just to find it! Jeesh.
