Anyone else seen the new trailer for Disney's "Sky High"?
How the hell can they get away with this? 
It is an utter and complete rip off of the X-Men as well as multiple other Marvel franchises.
Please even if you have kids, DO NOT take them to this film. Supporting Disney's constant high jacking of other properties has so far only created a media that accepts unoriginal concepts as easily and as highly as original ones. This has to stop somewhere and the only thing that speaks to these corporations is money. SO DON'T GIVE THEM YOURS!!!!!!  |

I always prefer the easily digestible, unoriginal, and dumbed-down knockoffs of more complex works--why break a sweat with Hugo, Anderson, or Shakespeare when we have Disney? I'd much rather have some dull screenwriter wade through all that iambic pentameter so that I don't have to.

I was also upset by this. Not because of the fact that it will probably be poor, but that the next generation will think they came up with it, and that just angers me.

But if the next generation believes that, shouldn't we only blame the next generation for their own ignorance?

Not really, not so much ignorance but lack of knowledge. Just as my age probably looks at a lot of newer films as revolutionary when you could point out a cast 2 or 3 decades ago in which is was really so.
